Are you watching the Debate? It’s not so bad…I like the YouTube idea. What do you think? This is just the beginning…will be updating throughout the night.

The Daily Background

7:22PM – “When I’m catching a cab in Manhattan, I think I’ve given my credentials,” Obama says, as proof that he is “black enough.” Also, Edwards says he doesn’t want the vote of anybody who won’t vote for Obama because he’s black or Hillary because she’s a woman. Gets big applause. Twice.

Stephen W. Terrell’s Live Blogging

4:40 PM: Waiting for the festivities to begin. Surprisingly there’s no pre-debate hoopla on CNN. Just Lou Dobbs. I think he’s against illegal immigration. Watch this space …

5:03 PM: Anderson Cooper just called the governor of California a cyborg.

2008 Central Net

7:01: Cooper introduces the debate and talks up the quality of the questions. … And they promptly start with a laugh track of silly ones. Way to build credibility. They then make fun of Biden’s ‘what then’ question.

7:04: First question is a question about being effectual. Sounds like the guy did shrooms as he asked the question. Dodd gets the first answer, and talks about experience and bringing people together.

Mother Jones — MoJo

We’ll be here all night, folks, watching the Dems debate at the Citadel. Big question, according to the mainstream media anyway: will someone try to distinguish themselves by attacking Hillary Clinton, who leads in all the polls?
