Whether you agreed with Cindy Sheehan or not, it is very sad that she has been beaten down the way she has. But Cindy showed all women that any of us can have a voice, and have our voice heard. I think that is a very important message. Only time will tell if women got this message, or instead got the message to keep their mouth shut. Cindy, I visited the Lafayette Memorial yesterday with my son. I saw the cross in honor of Casey. I’ll always remember you and you will always be in my heart and prayers. Casey would be very proud of his mom. You stand for what you believe in and you are to be admired. I understand why you are stepping away (for the moment). It is a very difficult cross you carry. But please believe, you have made a difference and brought to light the horrible situation we are in. I love you and I love Casey; I’ll always remember Casey and his mom and what you stood for. Thank you for all that you have done.

Great post on Cindy. I make similar points on my blog. It’s better for women to speak out imperfectly than not speak out at all – no matter how much some men that we are taking attention from them and their concerns, goals, etc.
