What about the homeless?

Posted by Catherine Morgan on January 11, 2007

What is our government doing about the 744,000 people that are homeless in our own country? Democrat or Republican, this is just not right. It use to be the homeless were mostly men….mostly with psychiatric disorders (not that they deserve to be homeless, no one does). But now, over 40% of the homeless are families. What does that say about our country??? We have billions, and billions of dollars to spend in Iraq alone….it probably wouldn’t even take one billion to help all the hungry and homeless in our own country. It seems to me that this will just be another “blip” in the news that most of us will block out, and our government will do nothing about. It is very sad.
