Presidential Speech on Iraq

It seems that the president will be announcing a troop surge in Iraq about two hours from now. The Iraq war whether you agreed with it at the start or not, is now a civil war. I don’t think one more American should die fighting in an Iraq civil war. I believe this war in Iraq is going to have repercussions that will hurt our country for many years to come, in ways that we cannot even imagine at this time. It seems to me that what no one has talked about and what I am most afraid of is; because of this war our military will no longer be able to continue as volunteer only, and we will soon have to go to a mandatory military or draft. As a mother I can only pray that I am wrong about this.
